When Vivino.com was first launched, it offered regular blog posts about the world of wine. I was fortunate to be one of the early writers of this great site, which allows you to discover new wines and learn about the regions where the grapes were grown. Topics were generated by the editors, and I conducted the research and wrote the posts to achieve the highest SEO ratings. Since the site was first launched, it has become much more of an e-commerce site.
Gen. John Wickham, a retired, 4-Star Army General, started writing poetry in his mid-80s. In his early 90s, Gen. Wickham decided he wanted to share his poetry with family, friends, veterans, and anyone else who wanted to find inspiration in his words. Serving as editor and creative director, we worked with students from Ironwood Ridge High School's senior advanced art class to bring his words to life through original illustration. The book was published in print and online in 2019.
This is one of a number of articles I wrote for the Arizona Daily Star's "Chef de Tucson" weekly series between 2015-2016.

Nightfall at Old Tucson is a signature Halloween event held during the month of October. Because it is a year-round project in the making, we wanted to highlight all of the planning that went into putting it up each year. Working with KOLD and AZWeekend, I put together a script and the interviews to be included in the story. The story aired online and on air. Nightfall achieved record-breaking attendance last year.
This was an independent article I published on Medium.com about a trip to Havanna for a jazz festival. I was surprised how many Americans didn't realize you could still get to Cuba. The article received several hundred views and garnered me new followers.
